Coach Robinson enters his first year as head coach at Etowah. He is from Sanford, North Carolina where he was three sport letterman at Lee Senior. He played collegiate baseball at UNC, and his 1978 team finished third in the College World Series. The Tar Heel native signed with the Texas Rangers after his senior year and returned to coach at UNC after his minor league career ended. He received his Masters Degree in Education from UNC and recently completed his Ed.S. in Administration from LMU.
Prior to joining the eagles, Coach Robinson was the head coach at Milton High School from 2002-2007. While at Milton, Coach Robinson led his club to a Region 6 title and also brought a state title to Milton for the first time since 1955. Coach has also won region titles in North Carolina and Florida during his 15 year coaching career. He teaches in the Health and Physical Education Department at Etowah. Coach is married to Stephanie and they have three sons, Justin, Jordan, and Guy. He enjoys playing golf in his spare time. |
